Boston area AD for repairs?
Recently my Thunderbird started slowing down to the point where I would need to wind it a while for it to last the day. The automatic movement had evidently given up the ghost. Then it just stopped running, and there is a rattle inside (not from the bracelet).
It obviously needs serviced (I hear it costs around $600 now for that) plus whatever parts might be needed. A hit, but the watch means a lot to me. I live near Sudbury, MA just outside Boston and wondered what the best AD might be. I've heard from one that Shreve, Crump and Low on Boylston Street in downtown Boston is wonderful, and to stay away from Long's in Framingham (much closer to me). Wanting a great experience, I'm asking for opinions from those in the area or who know. |

I stopped by and was looking to buy one for myself. They had about 20 or more and where very helpful.
I had purchased one for my son as a graduation present and they did a quick fix on a screw that had worked it's way out on the bracelet at no charge. |

Shreve, Crump and Low isn't an AD but they do have a small selection of pre-owned pieces for sale.
I haven't visited the Lux Bond store in Wellesley yet, but the one on Boylston has the large Rolex display area you would expect at an AD. |
