This is an absolutely stunning 5508 NCG Sub AKA..James Bond & Small Crown..etc..
Flawless tritium service dial and hands with perfect light yellow patina that matches all the way around..
Crisp steel bezel and even turns!
Icing on the cake is the superb thick font insert that really sets the dial off like a rocket!
Also comes with NOS domed tropic 16 (500$ value!)
The case is just exquisitly thick,which is major plus on these models as they where thin to begin with!
There are a few dings and scratches,but nothing that takes away from the beauty of the piece..and should you decide to have it polished,then i am Certain thatall of the scratches would disappear!
The serial numbers are very faint and you do need a loupe to read any of them..its unclear what the exact serial number is,but it appears to be a 500k serial and the caseback has a II 59' stamp
you can get the 5508 on a nato band for 8k shipped
If you would like the 5508 on the rivet band from 1959' then it will be 10,300$ shipped/insured
the 59' rivet band is the spring loaded expansion variety and most of the springs where just replaced!
it litterally looks and feels like new!
