Falls here, and so are Cider Mill trips
Went to the cider mill and I forget all year how much I love them. Trees turning colors, the slapping of the water wheel and the smells of Pies and donuts. We had a great day, the dogs not so much, long story.
ANYWAYS, This is fall in Michigan. I dunno if there are mills in AZ or Norway. Maybe a thrilling round of hat kicking? or another day on the boat in LA? What are your local FALL activities? Local 150yr old fixture, apple crushing the old fashioned way, belts, gears and water. ...too bad you can't hear the roaring of the falls towards the wheel house. behind us. Goofing.. Busy place but a huge park and water walk too. Animals and Pumpkin carving etc. My deductions.... too make it kinda watch related I wore.... Sighted, 3 other Rolexs, 100's Casio and Timexs, and a few PIMP watches of unk providence. ...again, What are your local FALL activities?

425ranger, I went to the one in Commerce yesterday.
It was packed. My son was entertained there for 5 hours non-stop, better than Disneyworld. |

Great pics.
I've been to Yates many times. I agree, the annual Cider Mill trip is one of the great Michigan traditions. I love the combo of fall activities, football and the changing weather. Thanks for sharing. |

Not much of a fall in Denver... it snowed yesterday and it's still snowing above 10k ft. Hooray for ski season!

Beautiful family Bill and great photos. I always try to get a weekend in North Wales during the autumn for the colours and a bit of walking / climbing.

Yates is about 7 miles from my house. I used to go on Thursday mornings when I was on afternoons or midnights. They'd be running the presses all day to get ready for the weekend and the only people there would be retirees. I find it too busy for my tastes on the weekends.
I read an article this week that my neighbors, Westview Orchards, came in second place in a taste contest last year. But no cool presses to watch though.
