Questions for 16610 LV owners in light of the new LV-C
I am curious about thoughts, intentions and actions from 16610 LV owners - wanted to make it a poll but did not know how :-)
16610LV Owners - Since the introduction of the 116610 LV (Ceramic), have you done any of the following (or decided to do any of the following): A) Keep the 16610LV and decide NOT to get the new one? B) Sell/trade the 16610LV and get the new one? C) Get both? (or decide you will eventually end up with both at some point) D) Upgraded, then sold the Ceramic again? E) Any other combination? I'll start: C! I have the old one, will get new soon. I hope I am able to enjoy/use 2 green watches as I am crazy about both of them Lets hear what your plans are or what you already did! M |

F. I decided to get the old one, because I didn't like the new one as much.

I went the B route...the old model just didnt sing to me enough, and i thought that the maxi markers on the dial were a bit to prominent for the size of the overall watch...
I love my new LVc and am glad i made the décision to sell and not keep just because it may be a collectors item...or already is..... |

It was difficult for me to make a choice until I tried them on. For whatever reason the "old" LV stood out to me and I just knew I had to have one. I just got it today and have no intention of selling it, it is my first Rolex and I have to think it will always be a favorite. Long answer short, I vote A

H. I had two 16610lvs in the past, and am close to getting a 116610lv... I am a flipper and unless a watch has sentimental value, its usually on the chopping block in a matter of time!!!

A. I'll stick with my mate Kermit. I am not excited by the green dial.

I think the green dial is OK, but the old LV's green bezel trumps the new milky green one in my opinion...

Don't like green dial
Don't like milky green ceramic Don't like how shiny ceramic is. Maxi dial looks cooler on the smaller watch. |

B).
I was close to D), but finally decided to keep the new because it is a perfect watch (but I still don't like the proportions and the new case). Tom |

Green ceramic bezel with a green dial looks cheap and a bit juvenile to me. 16610LV all the way.
The only sportmodel that sings to me of the new ones is the GMT-C. Might be adding one of those in a near future.

A)
I've tried the new one on once and it didn't instantly wow me. I didn't like the dial colour which was too green and much prefer the bezel colour on the older model. I do like the larger case size and obviously the bracelet and clasp are a huge improvement on the new one. So i won't be swapping or adding one

(A) for me. Have seen the newer version in the flesh and it was not for me. I like the combination of black maxi dial and green bezel.

C most likely.
I just love the combination of the slim case and maxi dial/hands. Or E. Another combination would be: Have one LV and get a second one to put a black bezel insert on. |
