Serial number range for 2011?
After doing some cursory searches both here and on the Internet generally, I'm not seeing a clear answer.
Input would be appreciated. Is there any way to validate a 2011 serial number for a Rolex watch purchased new? I'm aware that some models move through Official Jewelers' showcases more quickly than others, so "buying" in 2011 doesn't necessarily mean getting "a" 2011.

If it's random it would have to be late last year or this year. Even if it is breakable, I don't think any one has cracked the random number code yet.

Serialization of Rolex watches is not an exact science primarily because this information is not officially available from Rolex. The only indication of date is the time a watch is sold from the AD.
It appears that at present G-serial and the newer randomly serialized watches are the newest. For further info go to the Reference Library section here, there is a complete compilation of numbers there. |

Plus a few others too and as watches like the SubC you can be sure no matter what the case stamp is.The case was stamped sometime between the latter part of 2010 till present time. But when the movement was made thats in the case well only Rolex knows that, and they are not made to order for any particular case.

I bought new and fresh at AD, fully stickered, a V series earlier this year. It wasn't new old stock, it had just come in.

Choices, choices
Thanks, guys! Always a great help here.
As far as my plans to purchase, I'd like to think that some time I'll be acquiring and wearing watches without at least some sort of "James Bond" association. Um, but that won't be any time soon--.
