sea dweller bezel inserts and old-style sub bezel inserts question

are these bezel inserts identical?

meaning are they interchangeable; exact size and dimensions?

no, they are not.

SD bezel insert is smaller

Here are the 4 differently sized bezel for "Subs". It's a kind of compatibility chart. For each insert you have the exhaustive list of compatible Rolex.

As you can see SD and SUB aren't compatible .
