GMT II Calendar issue

Hi all,

My new GMT Master II only 1 month old is very accurate. However, I found the calendar jumps at about 10 seconds before the second hand strikes 12 before midnight. I know the calendar is one of the most proud features of Rolex. Should I take it back to the AD and have it check out???

Thanks for any suggestions!!

Your watch is more than perfectly fine.

The tolerance for the date change is more or less +- 3min to midnight.
Mine jumps at 00h00mn47seconds.

Your watch is actually very good.

relax and enjoy your GMT

I would rather be more concerned if your watch was 10 seconds too slow or too fast rather than if it was 10 seconds off from midnight when the date changed.

Your watch is in perfect condition. It is nothing I would worry about. I would just continue to enjoy it and love it.

Your watch is mechanical and afraid mechanical things are not
so accurate to the split second as anything thats electrical.

No, for goodness' sake! DON'T have it serviced for that! In fact, your date jumps PERFECTLY, so don't be unhappy about that.

My Sub Date has done that lately, too. But it also depends on what you are doing at the time the date is about to change.

If you just SIT there, all WIS-like and autistic , the date would tend to change later than if you move your wrist.

BTW:

Just discovered a new example of one of those "hidden sign" smileys of TRF:

Earlier, I discovered THIS one, the "Laughing Devil Smiley". See? It has horns!:

()

And the new one is the "Smiley gets its left ear cleaned with Q-tip cotton swap":

The issue is whether the minute hand lines-up

Its an easy fix the next time your watch is in for service. Half-degree off when placing the minute hand will do this...

Of the Rolexes I owned, I think only two date-changed right at midnight.

Well it is better than my Sub 14060M I used to have! After a few too many beers, sat around one night waiting for the date to change over, took freakin forever and got tired of waiting, so fell asleep!
