I just bought this for my little brother...

He once told me, "I'll NEVER have a Rolex". He's a watch nut but unfortunately he doesn't make enough to spend lavishly like some of us do. So, his birthday is next month, and this Precision is circa 1964, same year he was born. You think he'll like it?

If he doesn't like it, I'll be more than happy to keep it! But, I just sent him a cheap $140 Android, and he was almost in tears when he called me, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna like this one.

And Dan-O, you ARE my brother!

Thanks, pal! I already knew that.
Now, it seems I'm a little short this week and was wondering...............

That's a very nice watch, classic and low key, I'll bet he'd be ecstatic especially the watch has the same birth year as he.

Such a nice thought.

I will say one thing though once I thought I got my Dad a really nice gift and his brothers completely one upped me and got him a classic car he's wanted since he was 17. Since then we collaborate as a family on gifts.

That bit about him being a watch nut but could never have a Rolex made me sad :( The look on his face will be priceless. You should video it. Like those kids that go crazy on youtube when they get a puppy.

What have you got against your brother (ha)? You know one is never enough and once the bug bites there is no going back. I will bet this is just the first of several to come and its a very nice one at that. Better avoid the sister in law at future family outings. Sometimes I wish I wasn't an only child.

Well done! I gave my little brother a watch at his 30th, and he has been wearing it pretty much daily for 12 years now... I guess it is time for him to save up for my 50th... And there is still a couple of years for him to ... at least get me an Android phone... :-D

Very nice gesture! If you grow tired of your brother... Or Dan P... my birthday is in October. ;-)

Best,

Anders
