2012 Yacht Master Bracelet

I was at an AD and I really liked the 2 Toned Yacht Master 16623. However, looking at the 2012 blue face w plat bezel, it had an updated bracelet that made the watch sooo much nicer. Does anyone know if they will update the 16623 to the same bracelet? If they will I may hold off on my purchase...

I've moved your thread into the Rolex General discussion area.....as you'll get far more replies here.
The review section is for actual reviews..

To answer your question however.
Most likely all YM's will be updated with the newer bracelet in time...

Was it the Easylink feature that you found nicer?

Coupled with the solid clasp and links, I'd say so.....

The reason I asked is that bracelet is unlikely to be retroactively applied to old models, right? Wouldn't Rolex update the case and functions before adding the new bracelet?

I just called the Rolex Boutique and the rep stated that they were told a refresh was coming with the 2 tone YMs as well.

He stated that the case would be updated, bigger markers, new bracelet, for about $700 more. He said they should announce it in March and wont have it in the Stores until Sept. FWIW...

My feeling is that the the two-tone and full 18ct Yacht-Masters will be slowly phased out. Introducing the steel model first flies in the face of Rolex's usual methodology, and the steel and plat YM is the only model to really sell. I think we'll see a scaled down YM range

I agree, And we already seen the Lady size being discontinued.

Full gold YM have already been discontinued last year, but lady size models are still there . Probable update at next Basel 2013 show for TT and lady models is my guess, at least for TT.

.

With this brand new master catalog 2012/13 dial list, we can say that 29mm YM have been discontinued.

Only available now are 40mm and 35mm, SS and TT :

I went into an AD this weekend to look at a 40mm YM Plat with plat dial (116622) and a Daytona SS White dial (116520).

However, I ended up also trying on a TT YM 40MM (16623) with a champagne gold dial. What a beautiful watch! The combo of the gold dial with the gold bezel was just stunning. I was surprised given I never thought I would like a TT.

Questions:
1. Is a TT YM with gold dial too dressy for a daily wear sports watch?
2. Can an AD order an updated newer Oyster clasp (solid links, easylink extension) for the TT YM at a slight bump in cost (Difference between older vs newer bracelet retail?), even though it isn't standard yet? If so, which clasp/bracelet model fits?
