Chapter rings

Is rolex putting crb's on all models, or certain ones, if so which ones?

The CRB (Chapter Ring Branding) is on ALMOST any Rolex by now.

The CRB was introduced with the new Datejust style in 2004.

As a thumb rule you could say that some of the sport's Rolex watches are still issued without the CRB.

It is still missing on the SD, and I think I saw the CRB on the TT Sub, but I am not sure. The CRB has been on the chapter ring of the ALL-GOLD Sub Date for a long time now, though.

It is on the SS Sub by now (including the COSC-rated Sub "no date"). You would see the CRB on late Z-series and M-series, but note that apparantly Rolex made Z and M-series' cases at the same time, and seems to have applied chapter rings WITH and WITHOUT the CRB pretty much at random. So it is no definate rule.

It is safe to say, that all NEW Rolex's will eventually have it....I have yet to see an "M" serial without it...but one may exist.

Is the thickest of the new chapter ring with "Rolex" same as the old chapter ring without "Rolex"? Make sense?
