Maybe Consolidating
All,
I currently have 3 watches in my collection and I'm considering going down to 2. They are a 14060M Sub no date, Breitling Superocean Steelfish, and a Breitling Superocean Abyss. I'm considering selling off both Breitlings to fund a second hand ExII polar, since they don't seem to get much wrist time. What are your thoughts? Thanks! |

I'd do it. You can have 2 Rolex watches that share wrist time

Let's see......hmmmmmmm.
The OP asks a question on a Rolex forum if he should sell 2 Breitlings for one Rolex. I think he needs some enabling guys and gals. YES!

No brainer...especially if your Breitlings are not getting any wrist time.

Go for it. Not only because the EXP II is great but because bringing a collection down to low numbers can be nice once and awhile. Sometimes it's easy to just have a couple watches to maintain. You can always build it up at a later time.

If youre not wearing them, yes, but I often think about selling my Steelfish to help buy my next Rolex but I just cant bring myself to do it, I think its a keeper for me now.

I know that many people here on a Rolex forum look down on Breitling but the Steelfish is an awesome watch. I take both with me on vacation.

Two Rolexs to alternate sounds good - Sub and explorer 2 - this is my own combo and it works well!

IMO, the Steelfish is a classic / timeless dive piece that I would keep... Also, i've noticed not a lot of love for Breitling on here, so judge responses accordingly.
