A small price to pay for an otherwise very cool watch.
Seems like these things are unobtainable now.

Well, as far as the LEC is concerned, "GV" seems to stand for "Gone, Vanished"

And apparanly, the abbreviation "LEC" must be revised from "Laser Etched Coronet" to "Lost Etched Coronet".

I wonder if the missing LEC on the GV has anything to do with the edge of the crystal being green?

Is the LEC on the clear crystal versions of the Milgauss?

Whoa, that's interesting! Rolex omits the LEC on (basically) ONE model only!

maybe they it has something to do with the Milgauss itself (being able to not be phased by electrical fields, etc.) I dunno... maybe they grow the crystals different or something... Next time I talk to my AD I will ask him though....

Well, maybe SOME Milgauss watches were - mistakenly - issued without the LEC!

Because rumour has it that Rolex has had some "trouble" with the crystals for the Milgauss watches. This rumour has been brought up both here and on a German watch forum.

If this is true, owners of NON LEC Milgauss crystals should take very good care of those crystals since that would be a "mistake" that could make it very collectible.

Okay, Thani, then just send your GV to me since it won't be as collectible as I guessed!

Where did you get that pic from, Jocke? NO Photoshop now, please!

Sorry, I don't get it! You state you cannot find the LEC, but you posted a pic in an other post clearly showing the LEC?
