Cape Cod is an excellent product for polishing solid gold. It is slow and gentle, but effective. You can polish out swirlies and fine scratches while watching TV, with no worries of permanently altering the shape of the metal.

Ask yourself this are you going to polish your watch every time you see the slightest tiny scratch. If so then you can over polish a gold watch, myself would learn to accept these normal everyday wearing scratches. Then when normal routine service comes around those nice people at the RSC will correctly polish your watch as good as new, only to get scratched again in normal wearing.

New Scotchbrite pads (green) seem to work best.

Leave well alone. Nothing wrong with a couple of small marks. You'll only get more & then become more paranoid. Chillax & enjoy it.
