Vintage Sub & Vintage GMT

I really like Vintage Subs and GMTs. For those of you who own both, please post a picture and tell us why you like your vintage GMT and Submariner combo.

I'll start:
-A reasonably priced vintage combination relative to RedSubs, DRSD's, Daytona's, etc.
-The GMT with it's pepsi bezel insert has more pop than most watches, and the submariner can also be worn anywhere- scuba, surfing, opera...
-bracelets can easily be swapped / shared.

Nothing like an iconic pepsi that i remember seeing on the backpages of magazines growing up or a timeless sub with a hint of special....

I love them both equally, like twins!

Great pair Alan
What can't you do with that duo?
Your GMT dresses up (black insert and a suit) and looks awesome with any color insert and jeans.
Your 5513 is a go everywhere - do anything watch. I love that reference. My recently departed 5513 went to the gym, the office and the pool for swimming laps. It was my annual vacation watch in Montecito.

Enjoy your vintage beauties!
Russ

My 16750 and 5513 are gone but not forgotten...

They complement eachother perfectly. My sub is the cheap bastard brother though.

Here they are with the third wheel in my very small collection.

Here are my current three vintage Rolexes.

Submariner 5513 m/f (Hodinkee strap)
Submariner 1680 (Gunny Arrillo Strap)
GMT-Master 16750

Looking for an older GMT-Master (1675?) to match my Submariners. I like a variety of watches.

Partly true mate:), but the colour on the bezel is the first thing one notices on these beauties and more the shaded, the merrier.

I think youre right. Sometimes the insert does make the watch and that insert is great!

Thanks Puffy, these watches surely have eye catching and beautiful inserts, can't think of another watch that pops out colour as gracefully!
