the watch in the picture is no doubt real.

Real question is, exactly WHAT you will get in the mail.

The guy is registered from Malaysia, auction is in Australian $$ and the item is located in Japan... Very suspect.

IF I was a winner, before paying for it, I would request a specific shot of the watch to confirm he indeed has the watch to begin with - like set the time to quarter to 12 and date set to like 17th of the month.

Then, keep a VERY close eye on it. The seller may try to throw a quick one like "My paypal account is blocked for some reason, I will refund your money, but please pay me with Western Union" etc. He may even do this AFTER he give you the tracking # to give you a real sense of trust. He may encourage you to dispute the transaction via paypal so that you can get your fund back so you can pay him with different means of payment. If you bark at it, he may tell you some sad story and ask you to give him downpayment via WU/wire so that "he will feel confident" you will pay him when you actually receive the watch. Of course, once you do the downpayment, he/she will be gone.
