Excellent photos that really provide a good side by side comparison. I think it really shows that the original classic LV is so much more refined than the ceramic version. The bezel just pops!

I love them both watches i own the LVC and would like to get LV at some point in the future. As for the new size case i like it, Rolex have had to move with the times a little and the trend is for large watches i remember the first time i wore when my sub 1460m for work when i first brought it last year, the very first thing my co worker said to me was it looks very small why didn't you buy a bigger one I love the old case and i think its proportions where spot on but you have got to love that maxi dial and glide lock clasp on the new subs, ultimately i think the cases on the new subs will grow on all the guys who like the old case and will probably appeal more to the younger buyers that may not have considered buying a Rolex before.

That'll come in handy for a lot of people on the fence between new vs old.
I have a great appreciation for the original LV, but I am 100% sold on the LV-C and personally prefer every design change.

And I draw the exact opposite conclusion.

They're both amazing watches, for sure!

I just like the "old".

The older style looks far more balanced and looks better in my opinion.the fat lugs make the head look too bulky. It's like a large watch wearing a G-string. The bracelet wins on the newer model. The maxi dial is more legible but the older dial looks classier at least for the non LV versions. I am neutral on the ceramic. I have had my 16610 4 years and no fading or scratches on the insert and it can be replaced for about 60. If any thing happens to the ceramic we are looking at 1000 but it does look a little blingier if that's a word.

I am lucky enough to have both. But for some reason or another I always seem to go for the original and the ceramic one sits in the safe.

I recomend they sooner the better on getting the LV. The prices are creeping up.

What is amazing in almost all of those pics is that the LVC dial looks black.

That was an excellent photographic comparison. If only I could read the words as well.

Thanks for the link. I have been sitting on the fence in regard to the 116610lv and the 16610lv for a while, I did have an 16610lv a few years ago but traded it for a Daytona (possibly the worst decision I've made) this helped me make up my mind, a D serial 16610LV mk2 dial should be in my possession on Wednesday

I prefer the dial of the C, but the case and the bracelet of the 5 digits are so much nicer.
