How long has your oldest Rolex been in your family?

I inherited my dad's 1601 which he purchased in 1961 so it's been in the family for 52 years and had it's first service in 2011. It will definitely remain in the family for a long time!

I hope that my, yet to be conceived, grandchild will come on to this forum and post a picture of this watch that was purchased new in 2012. Unfortunately the ring was lost scuba diving in Puerto Plata.

This is wonderful. That's why I'm hoping my sons will want my watches some day.

Since 1994. My 14060 bought at a Hong Kong AD (La Suisse Watch Co, Causeway Bay) while I was on a business trip there. February 2014 will mark 20 years!

1803 D-D from 1964. My Dad received it as a gift from a client and left it to me when he passed away.

My grandfather bought this 6150 Explorer in Northern Goldsmiths in Newcastle in early 1953, my mother gave it to me earlier this year, needed a bit of TLC but now keeps perfect time 60 years old and good as gold!

My Dad's 1957 Oyster Precision bought in Hong Kong when he was about 36 years old. I just had it serviced at RCS NY last summer. After that I bought myself my first Rolex a submariner. I use this as a dress watch, as I put an authentic Rolex croc bracelet on it, the band was badly stretched and too small for me anyway. Many memories of Dad wearing this.

Reviving this thread and including a picture of the 1601 I inherited from my dad. I grew up seeing him wear this. 50+ years and still ticking!
