flat 4 pearl lume weaker then dial??
I brought a used 16610 with flat 4 , dial n hands are superlume, but the pearl is a lot weaker , but the pearl cover is cracked.
does all flat 4 owner have weak pearl lume? |

I doubt they matched pearls with bezel fonts.

I would say that you didn't shine the light on the insert as long as the dial..

will it because flat four is a earlier made so the pearl is lumanova only not SL?
Or could it be that the previous owner had it service and changed newer dial? |

They only named it Superluminover when they moved the Chinese factory who made the Luminover paint to the new factory in Switzerland they are both the same paint Luminover and Superluminover.And all Rolex sports watches in that time frame had the so called flat four font.And the flat four front has been used for decades on many Rolex watches through the years they quite regularly change the fonts on dial and inserts its just a font like the many others and nothing special.

but on review if some newer 16610 or pointy four. The pearl seems same brightness as the dial.... mine just look not right.
also on here I see some member post lume shot, but their hands lume is totally off from their dial.. so is it that rolex have poor QC on lume???? |

Simple answer if your not happy with that very very tiny lume difference change the insert cost around $55.

The pearl on the insert on my LV doesn't glow as well or long as the dial and hands do. Mine isn't a flat 4 either. Hope this helps

Here is a fresh shot of my 03' Y LV and from what I see looks like it is same. Don't see it as a big deal either

OP is saying flat 4, but it is not an LV that he has pictured. It appears to be a regular 16610.
