1st Richard Mille.. Which one to get?

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to add a Richard Mille to my collection. It's been a long sought after thing for me but I couldn't find a chance to do so from Patek's, to be honest
The only thing I want is for it to have a model with the classic grey barrel case design and a titanium.

Here are the candidates ;

1. RM011 Felipe Massa Le Mans Edition

The pros

- Limited edition of 150
- Lovely green accents

The cons

- Older edition, so hard to know the ones are on sale are really new or am I being scammed.

2. RM011 Felipe Massa

Pros

- Easy to get
- Cheaper than most

Cons

- Everywhere.

3. RM055 Bubba Watson White

Pros

- Would look sick on a tan skin on summer time!
- Found a brand new one fairly cheap
- Skeleton Dial is amazing

Cons

- Too expensive for a toy watch looking like maybe.

4. RM055 BW in Black

- Almost same as the white one with same pros and cons.

5. RM011 Felipe Massa Titalyt

Pros

- Not a limited run but rumoured to be produced a few

Cons

- Can't tell from the photos if the case is more like dark grey or black. Didn't see one in flesh.

- Doesn't seem to be a very popular one for a reason.

- I don't really know how durable a titalyt case is.

I am open to other suggestions as well.

Thank you,

Salih

RM-11 Rose Gold. IMHO, the nicest looking and the most popular model

The 55, by a mile. Either color. If need be, tan. That watch is so sick.

55 white is crazy looking watch. Not sure it gets any hotter than that for RM for me! Certainly not an everyday watch but would be great for weekends and summer!

I'm not a fan of RM watches in general, I like their movements but that's basically it.
If I had to choose one I would go for the Massa Le Mans with green accents.

I'd say either RM011 (the rose gold one is very beautiful) or RM055.

If I was starting my RM collection from scratch, I would go for the RM011 Carbon.

I like any of the RM11s in black

RM55 is sick but does seem a bit more toyish for the money.

RM11 or RM30 would be my first if I was looking...probably the 11

What do you guys think of the Titalyt? I found a brand new one for 82k. Also found a carbon one for 102k (brand new) but not really fan of of a black case, but it's still in my thoughts.

Better grey than black if you ask me. If you like it more, go for it then.

RM 11 LEMANS is the best. The more I look into RM, the more similar with Hublot, but just different shape of case

I don't know how resilient the Titalyt is for everyday wear. My DLC Marcus 11 has held up amazingly well and still looks pretty perfect; I don't know whether Titalyt is more or less resilient than the DLC models. Carbon will definitely be better still, and my 55 Asia Edition black/gold with the ceramic bezel is better still. For a daily wearer an 11 with ceramic bezel would be perfect, but I don't think it exists, maybe the Silicon Nitride or NTPT versions will be as resilient as ceramic if they ever decide to actually make one available to me!

Don't know about policy of putting links from another watch sites/forums but there is link with all RM011 no-gold models : http://richardmille.watchprosite.com...ti-864423/s-0/

And http://vipwatch.blogspot.com/ have by far best RM pics anywhere on internet.

When I catch up a little free time I will make a database of collected pics over years with all RM011 models including live pics/wrist shots...

From suggested models I vote RM011 Le Mans for 1st RM...

Similar to Hublot? I own both brands and they are miles apart. I'm not sure what that's based on

Well Hublot are certainly copying RM if that is what you are suggesting.

I voted black 55. I like the white a lot also, but white plastic bracelets over time tend to look really nasty. I guess you can always replace them, but what if the case color changes over time also? Then you have mismatches. Solution: black case and bracelet...
