Well, I really liked it. Good price point (starts at £4250 on the rubber strap), build quality feels superb as you would expect. The new diving bezel is really clever, and the 42mm size is spot on for every day wear. The bracelet feels wonderful on the wrist, and the combination of the quick change strap system (an IWC design as opposed to Cartier's design on licence) and the pin free link adjustment makes it very user friendly. The simpler colours make it much preferable to the previous Aquatimer in my opinion

Wonderful Chris! You're really in the game now my friend !
And I see you tried some fine timepieces there. Makes me think of our watchhunt last November

How's the finish of the Calibre Diver? The 2 reviews I read we're that it was a top notch tool watch, and Cartier was treating it as one.

It was definitely a special trip, Geert, great to access the "core" of the business! It's hard work and someone has to do it

Again, I was impressed. Felt very well put together, and the bezel, in particular is marvellous. Extremely smooth to turn, and made out of amorphous diamond like carbon, as opposed to the usual ceramic that we see now. My one concern is the price - £6150 on the bracelet, which makes it £450 more expensive than a Sub Date

Looks like you tried some great models Chris, did you get a chance to see the new Cartier world time? Perhaps some of their skeleton models?

Thanks for sharing those pics.

The Calibre diver looks to be really promising.

Calibre diver is something that Carter was missing, very successful design in my opinion.
I'm a little disappointed with the aquatimer, concerning the design and the price increase.

Thanks for tne info!

Hi Carl,

Didn't get to see the Tortue World Time, but I did see their Rotonde Annual Calendar (albeit without the opportunity to handle it), a really nice piece of watchmaking They had all of their ultra high-end pieces on display at the show, I liked their flying tourbillon in particular, but my meeting with Cartier was sadly too short to try on anything other than what my store was buying in
