1978 GMT Pepsi with jubilee bracelet

Help! Saw one today and fell in love with it. I'm a proud owner of two new rolex models but believe this would probably get the most wrist time if purchased. Any recommendations? First time exploring vintage rolex watches. The dealer offered it to me for 6450.00. No papers.

Here is my 1978 Pepsi. You didn't provide any pics so I'm not sure what condition the watch is in. My initial thought is that the price is on the high side. Good luck.

Please attach pics. That price may be too high. Of course vintages prices jumped a lot by IMO 20% so a nice example demands more

Based on what? No pics or other details on the watch have been posted!

You won't find a nice example for under 5k unless you can buy from a original owner or your extremely lucky.

Condition, condition, condition. A nice all-original 1675 with a fat case, faded insert and good service history could definitely top $6K nowadays. Yes, the prices have increased a lot in the last two years or so. Why? Because great examples are becoming harder and harder to find. Would be nice to see photos from the OP. Good luck either way.

A 1978 Gmt with no paper for $6,500 is too expensive, there not that rare. You can find them all day long here in Tokyo for under $5,000 in great condition. Now if it was an older mk 1 1675 dial that would be a different story.

The first link you posted to the 1971 GMT 1675 with the Mark I dial appears to wear a damaged dial with a replacement bezel insert. It is probably priced accordingly for the market at $5100. Add an original insert, and correct dial and the price is substantially higher.

Sorry, I don't agree. Nice ones cannot be found easily, although I guess it all comes down to what is considered "nice." Not sure those two links would qualify, although those overly Photo-Shopped photos make them look pretty. I need to see unretouched photos in natural light to make a call.

Just look at the pic in the link, ya your right not the best looking 1675. I just posted as a quick example that took me all of ten second to find. Jackroads is pretty famous and most expensive shop here in Tokyo with thousands of watches on hand. What they list on there wed page are there web specials.I will head over there on the weekend and check and take some pics of there 1675's.
Just saying they can be found in Tokyo if you look around for under $6500.
