Testing a new lens

So I picked up a new, relatively inexpensive low light 50mm Nikon lens the other day and finally had a chance to test it out. So far i'm extremely satisfied... Not bad for a lens under $200.00

Camera- Nikon D90
Lens- Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 D
Focal length 50
f/1.8
ISO 2000
e- 1/100 sec.

Software PS & LR

ISO seems a bit high could probably half that and shoot at 1/50.

Otherwise, great watch!

An APSC sensor essentially "magnifies" the focal length by 1.5 x. Which means his 50mm 1.8d is actually a 75mm by full frame comparison. So the shutter speed of 1/100 is correct, while the D90 handles ISO well into the 3200 range. Nothing wrong here...beautiful shot btw...very creamy bokeh...

Nice shot! My macro lens was purchased back in the '70's, and an adapter ring is all I needed to keep using it with modern DSLR bodies. Of course, I have to set the aperture manually, but no big deal! Just bracket the exposure and throw away the images that don't meet my expectations. Enjoy your Nikkor and your YM.
