Zenith Pilot
The only watch which is allowed to have "Pilot" on the dial.
The watch is from 1948, 34mm, and has a cal 12-4-P-50-6 movement and runs like a top. The watch must have set unwound for a while because there is ghosting from the hands which appears to be a radium burn. The dial is silver, and by silver I mean it's almost reflective and it has a white concentric stripe through the numbers. The dial is very hard to photograph.

Very very cool watch Joe, I really love it, the band is a great match for it as well!

Great looking watch, radium burn is seriously cool. Too bad for the woman that applied it to the dial though.

Terrific Joe. That'll look great on the wrist next time you rent a plane for the weekend. But why the only watch allowed to have Pilot on the dial?

Nice pick up.
Even though Zenith owns the "pilot" trademark on watches I think they haven't done enough to really capitalize and leverage that asset. My view is that when people think of pilot watches IWC and Bell & Ross are top of mind. I think Zenith can do a much better marketing job. |

I think Zenith has realized this and they're in the middle of restructuring the brand. Sadly some of the changes aren't for the best but if they're going to survive it's necessary.
Zenith has some issues here in the US because until recently they weren't allowed to advertise. Zenith Electronics prevented them from doing so.
