Are you waiting?

I'm lucky enough to have got 2 SS Daytonas from my AD in the last year without having to wait for them

I was just wondering, how many people here are on a waiting list with their AD & how long have you been waiting?

Have you had to put a deposit down to secure your place on the list?

Two AD's near me do not have a waiting list as they have no idea when they will get one in,same with the milgauss, thus it is first come first serve

Yeah, I have a really good relationship with my AD, he always calls me anytime he gets anything new in

These are my 2 Daytonas

I got the black for myself last summer & the white I got last month as a birthday present for my girlfriend

Great pics. Which one do you prefer? I do prefer a white face but they are both beautiful.

Is that the rest of your collection as your avatar?

I always prefered the black face but the more I see the white the more I get to like it

Yeah, my avatar picture has a few of my favourites in it, I have quite a few more locked away at home

Thats a mighty collection Dan! Im only 24 so just starting out, i have collected watches for a few years but when it comes to rolex buying them takes a bit more time, but my nex purchase will be a GMT II C or the SS daytona , but i will not pay £7000 for the priviledge, so hears to waiting. I also like some of the TT daytona's and they are much cheaper!

Seeing as your a football fan, i hope you were watching my team the mighty Rangers last night!

Dan

Thats good going Dan, paid my £500 deposit in Jan 2007 at my local AD, i was 10th on the list and they reckoned on 5years wait. I asked how many they get each year and they said they had 1 in the last 18months! so im not too hopeful. I may take a trip to Preston though.

I recent paid 3K deposit and should have a white dial SS Daytona sometime between 6 to 12 months. The AD would only accept orders from existing customers.

My AD said the very few they get are only offered to their "preferred customers."

No grease involved!

My AD has become a friend over the years, so he always does everything he can for me when I want anything

I've got about 7 AD's in my general area, two of them aren't even doing lists and basically told me that they sell them to customers that spend money in their shops and I have no shot.
two others allowed me to get on their lists for free and polietly told me I've got no shot. The other three wanted 10-20% down and said it would be 2 years. So needless to say I'm just praying I hear from the two who took my name down

I'm on with two different AD's one has quoted me 4 years and I'm #24, (it is a massive chain though) and the other I'm #8, and 3 years.

Only been on about 2 months

Those are great photos, I have been on the waiting list with my AD for only a short time.
So I will just have to keep my fingers crossed.

i went to my AD, asked if they had any SS daytonas, they went into the back and brought out both a black one and a white one; i left with the white one.

he did tell me they wouldnt sell to anyone they didnt already have a relationship with (read that "spends a lot of $$$")
