5512 question

what year did Rolex change the 5512 dials from two lines to four. I am considering starting a search for one but want to make sure that the dial is correct to the watch year.

There are plenty of 2 line and 4 line examples of the 5512 from 1961 and 1962.

I have seen a few 5512's in the 990,000 serial range, which often correspond to case backs in the III/63 range, with a connected minute track aka chapter ring and 2 lines. However, I don't believe I have seen any 5512's from 1963 without the chapter ring and 2 lines of print.

It is likely around the time that Rolex used up their stock of chapter ring dials and transitioned to the underline dials without chapter rings in and around 1963 that the 5512's all had 4 lines of print and the 5513 had 2.

Hope this helps.
