WG GMT BLRO Pepsi Question

If I were to buy this at full retail of $38,250. How much do you guys think the watch would depreciate as soon as I wore it the first time? I am having an internal struggle with buying such an expensive watch. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Off the top off my head, I'll say about 12k, but with the current swiss franc thing going on you might sctually come out even if you hurry. Apparently.

My guess would be roughly $10K... But that is just my opinion.

It should sell for a few thousand more than a 116718 so I'd say $14k

If that is your concern it will ruin the joy of the watch so just buy used and let someone else take the initial hit may be more palatable for you that way

If you buy full retail... Probably 15% off, just my wild guesstimate

Yes, I looked at this but the price was too unfriendly. Once they come down 15-20% they become very interesting.

Quite a bit, usually between 10-20% just the same as a car. You will always pay a premium for new. If you are that conflicted, I honestly think you should sit back and think some more before taking the plunge.

Luxury items are strictly for enjoyment, and thinking about the initial depreciation and the actual material value of the gold compared to the actual price will never allow you to truly enjoy the watch (there is about $4200 worth of actual gold on the sport models on bracelet give or take a couple hundred depending on which model).

I think the depreciation would be 25-30%

Never buy a precious metal Rolex at MSRP. Get at least 15% discount, to minimize the immediate depreciation. You would still lose a bit if you sold it right after purchase.
