Icon5 Day Date 1807 Questions

I have a day date 1807 with a fluted bezel and based on my research, some 1807's did come with a fluted bezel and not all were bark finished. Is this correct and if so, is there any way to tell if the bezel is original and not swapped later on? If they made both 1803 and 1807 barked, what is the point in having the two different models?

I don't believe both were made barked. 1803 was not barked and 1807 was hence the difference reference numbers. If you have a 1807 that does not have a barked bezel, then it's not original to that watch IMO.
