Thanks for the kink Mrdi
I enjoyed reading the report as well as his personal opinions which IMO were fair.
Apart from the beast, what a watch the "Concord" is. Not my taste but very different!!

Thanks for that, they don't half hero worship James on that forum, granted he is a very knowledgable guy, but i guess some people are starstruck by the sound of his very name imo.

They have James Dowling, but we have

JJ and Bo, what more could a forum want

I couldn't agree more Baptistman. I'm going to buy a SDDS and make all the changes that James Dowling wants, then he might think that I'm really cool.

At least people here can think for themselves instead of being 4rse lickers.

Absolutely right. There may be some occasional heat on this forum but at least free speech seems to rule here. The same cannot be said for "the other forum" where censorship, snobbery and sycophancy seem to be the underlying values.

Hats off to Steve and the mods.

Cheers - Simon

? I'm sorry, but what are you on? James's opinions were just his opinions, free to be taken or not taken as the reader chooses. Just because appreciative readers thank him for his efforts, they're suddenly "4rse lickers" who aren't capable of independent thought?! Your post really does say more about you than the members over at Timezone...

Simon, I've got to agree with you there. When posting at that "other forum" one must always be 'serious' and on the money...

If you want to discuss something thought provoking, and god help you if you don't have a watch picture, ...it won't be around for long

That said, all the forums out there have various styles, which is why it is great to be a member of a couple and I really enjoy the 'stress' free nature of the community here and love the different style of topics that appear here

On the topic of James Dowling, I have met him in person and he is an extremely knowledgeable and intriguing person. I'm a big fan of his book and have had two extremely enjoyable evenings (including one day at Basel) in his company. Therefore, I do not condone or agree with any negative comments expressed towards him.
