How blessed we are...

In the USA. I was chatting with a TRF member this week and he told me that he paid $9,000.00 to get his Sub in Brazil. He said that the taxes in Brazil are ridiculous. I'm glad I don't live there. Anybody else here pay that much for a Sub in your country?

In my recent trip in Athens (Greece) a Sub retailed at a nominal price of 4,700.00 EUR = 7,250.22 USD - but in reality the AD would let it go (cash) for 3,850.00 EUR = 5,939.01 USD .

How does that compare to the US Hamilton?

That is much closer. AD's are letting them go for <$5400 from what I have seen.

Sub Date in South Africa is about ZAR 48,800 = USD 6,250. That on par?

Danish MSRP's are ridiculously high.

An SS Daytona, for instance, is 58,900 DKR (US $ 12,200)!!

The retail here is $5,850.00, so the price is Athens is high IMO. With discount I can get it for a really good price.

I saw Rolex watches in Vietnam for 60% above MSRP. I guess because there's no AD in Vietnam.

Well, even the MSRP's in Great Britain are lower than in Denmark if that's a comfort to you, Minas.

I know Bo, UK prices are not that bad. But they are difficult on discounts...
In Greece again they are sooooo high and then they give you a good discount: the result - same as no discount in UK

Bo and Scarface, what would happen if you ask a relative or a friend who lives here in the USA to buy you a Rolex and when this person go back to visit their relatives takes the watch on his or her wrist to you? Would customs give a hard time?

Yes. I called the store today to check if they got the watch, but so far nothing. He told me that I would probably get it the same week he's back from vacation. Man, I think about it the whole day and night. The wait is making my life miserable.
