Steel Daytona with meteorite dial

Hello everyone I have been a member on here for a while more of a reader than poster but am struggling to find any information so have to ask the question, have rolex made a stainless steel daytona with the meteorite dial it also has the red second and crono hands, I have found two for sale and both seller description states factory dials. I was under the impression that these duals were only fitted to the gold daytona, please prove me wrong as these, look stunning.

Thanks in advance,
Sean-f

Factory dial on the WG version. This is an easy Mod to do with a SS piece. So factory dial but not original to the watch.

So if I was to pull the trigger on either of these steel ones with meteorite dial would I have problems come service time?

Any independent would service it, you don't need a RSC for servicing a Rolex.

Thanks but would the fact that it had been modified not detract from the value should I ever need to sell it? What value would you put on a Z serial 116520?
Again thanks for your help.

With or without the dial?

IMO the dial is about >$4K. + fitting.

Not only no meteorite on steel daytona, I don't think there is any special stone dial (onyx, sodalite, mahogany, coral, lapis etc) on any steel rolex, anyone knows otherwise?

You have 2 choices only on the SS Daytona, black or white.

No there is no other factory original dial for a SS Daytona however any Daytona dial (non Zenith) will fit on a modern SS Daytona. Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for either.

I am not a fan of these modifications. Hard core WG Daytona fan and I think these mods cheapen the WG Daytona. Sorry but that is how I feel. Everybody can do as they please with their own watches.

I am saying Rolex doesn't use special "stone" dial on any of their Steel models ever(not just Daytona). Only on precious metal. The closest "special" dial exception i can think of was the limited run Porcelain 16520.

I too agree I am not a huge fan of modified watches I only asked the original question as both the watched were listed as factory meteorite dial, I think I will have to save a little longer both the stainless I looked at were around $14k so I have a little way to go before I can look at a WG with meteorite,

Again thanks to all
