Oyster 1500 bracelet help needed please!
Hi,
I have an Oyster 1500 with a 7835 bracelet and 357 end pieces. Unfortunately the part which connects the bracelet to the end piece has been bent and subsequently broken. How can I join the existing 7835 and 357 pieces together or can I somehow attach 557 end pieces to a 7835 bracelet? Your help would be much appreciated!!! Thank you |

Cheers avirom. Mine's the 7835 with the folded links. My problem is trying to join this bracelet with the 357 end piece as the part that links between them is broken and I dont know how to solve it?

Hello Ben,
The stretch on the spring steel connectors you are looking for and the resulting sloppy endpiece fit is a problem with the 7835 bracelet. By coincidence I just spent the better (worse) part of this Saturday afternoon unfolding the connectors so that I could compress them down and re-wrap them to take away some of the sloppiness in the endpiece to-case fit. It worked well and the links fit nicely to the case now but as I was unfolding it I was wondering the same thing-where to get another one should it break! The bar it wraps around is fixed into the 7835 bracelet so the removable end pieces won't work. I have purchased used 357 endpieces's but they came without that steel connector so I don't know how to find those pieces. They are always a number of used 7835's around for sale but you may end up with the endpiece adjustment project to get a decent fit. Regards, Rick |

The fix is to make a new part if you want to salvage the vintage bracelet. Either a strip of stainless bent properly or a tube welded where needed..

Maybe contact Michael Young at classic watch repair and see if he can help. Either send it to him for restoration or maybe he can provide a DIY for you.

My 72 1500 with box and paper
Has 7835 folded bracelet and 357 end link. I think this is correct bracelet and end link. Which year is your 1500?
