So yesterday I set my watch to the time.gov time and was tracking it- by the end of the day it was off already a few seconds. Today, I stop in to get an early lunch at a local place. I checked my GMT and it was 11:05, placed my order and sat down to wait for the food. I pull out my phone and start browsing the internet when I notice the time is 10:05 on my phone. Looks like it's going back to RSC sooner than I thought...

At first maybe I thought I misread my GMT. Nope. 11:05
Then I go back to time.gov- 10:05
Then I notice the time.gov is on central time and really it's 11:05.

Confused, I check the settings on my phone, which uses GPS to track which time zone I'm in and the network to sync the time so it's always "accurate". It's still 10:05.

GMT 2c- 1, network connected clock on my phone- 0

Any time I hear of a watch exactly 1 hour off I think of operator error..

yes recently found out the hard way myself that the phone clock takes a while to change time zone

My Yachtmaster lost an hour the same day I had my red date wheel installed.
Since setting the correct time it has been +3 -3
I have no reasonable explanation

I don't believe that GMT can self sync to local time zones..

Anyhow for OP give your watch a full forty wind and time it to a single time zone.
If it still loses time. Either back to an AD or RSC.
