Normally not a fan of the Breitling brand, but this superocean looks pretty equal to the pelagos that I'm more familiar with....any thoughts about advantages of one vs the other? Breitling is about 500$ less...

What about the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue?

It's as stylish (and functional) a blue watch as they come.

Out of those two I'd pick Tudor. Saying that though the Breitling actually doesn't look too bad! Not as gawdy as their usual offerings.

Given your current collection I would go with the Breitling not a brand I normally like given in my opinion fussy dials and generally over sized watches, but the one you have identified is nice and different to your current rolex/tudor line up.

What size is the breitling? If it's 42 or under I say go for it. But if it's like 44-46 I would prefer the Tudor

Awesome watch! I tried one on today at my local AD. I really like the look of the bezel/dial and the lightness it's great. I'm seriously considering it, but my AD only offered me 5% off retail.

I've had a soft spot for the heritage Breitling. And their blue dial is quite stunning in the "flesh".

I love the pelagos too but it is a bit thick...

Not as easy a choice for me as it is for others here.

I'd go SOH. I think the tudor is an awesome, awesome watch-- but it just does not donit for me in person.
Honestly though, for the money I'd rather have the new blue dial rolex 39op

Tudor for me too.

I had a blue SOH 46 and flipped it due to minimal usage. One of the few Breitlings I like aesthetically. Beautiful watch, especially on the mesh bracelet. A year later they released the 42mm version, which I considered as a more wearable proposition.

In the end it was the minimal lume on the dial that put me off, which I didn't think about in an AD until I'd worn it a few times at night. Something to consider if you like the charm of a well lumed dial like I do.

Agree...in fact the black version is the Only Breitling I like.

pelagos all the way. you get the titanium case construction. new in house tudor movement as compared to the breitling's ETA. plus that matte ceramic bezel and the dial works so perfectly

I don't normally like Breitling but that particular model is quite nice. It also comes on a mesh steel strap that is rather fetching. Tough call.
