No Love for Fifty Fathoms Flyback Chronograph?

It seems that the BPFF automatic is much more popular than the chronograph. Is it because the automatic is more faithful to the original FF? Or because the plain dial is more elegant? Or something else?

I really like the FF, however the chrono is totally uninteresting for me.

However with the new Bathyscape my thoughts are the exact opposite.

Taste is weird it seems.

I had the Complete Calendar Flyback Chrono... I liked it a lot.

If I were in the market for Blancpain Fifty Fathoms I would pick the chronograph one

To me it is a gorgeous watch, but not everyone can sport a 45mm case

Pricing between 3 hands and chronograph are so big difference. Also most people never use chronograph in dive watch, I think.

both are nice, I had a few chronos and never used the complication, I prefer a completely useless complication, moon phase especially, at least it's pretty to look at, and the FF is great but too big for me

The chronograph is just too busy. There's a reason the FF TTAL is so popular.
