Glidelock / Bracelet fitment question
Good morning all,
This might be tough to describe so bare with me. When fitting your Sub bracelet with the Glidelock clasp, what position was your glidelock set to when fitting. I removed 2 links from my 114060 bracelet with the glidelock at the smallest position but still find myself needing to go smaller sometimes with the bracelet being a little loose. I'm thinking it would be best to have the glidelock set in the middle setting when sizing the bracelet that way you have room to move up or down to adjust when needed. Thoughts? |

I'd opt for keeping the adjustment in the middle unless removing another link throws the balance of the clasp radically off. In regards to adjustment, mine adjusts out one position in the hot weather. You don't need 4 increments of adjustment each way...

Mine is always in the "smallest" position, it is only adjusted 1 or 2 positions larger when very hot outside.

In the middle for the Glidelock usually works well -
Just remember bracelets are sized from the 6 side not the 12 side. The 12 side just holds it on your wrist. Most people have 4 or 5 links on the 6 side for the Subc's. I like mine to fit like the older 5 digit models. That is where the 1/2 link is attached to the 6 side of the clasp. So I do 4 1/2 on the 6 side. |

How does it fit with the glidelock in the middle? Does it feel awkward or anything? What I mean is, is the middle part of the bracelet in the middle of your wrist or does it tend to lean one way with putting your glidelock levered in the middle?

I think it is best to have it fitted at the minimum position. In that way you have more room if you decide to go diving and wear a wet suit.

I would keep it in the middle and try to fit is best. Then you can move up and down.
Also ive also heard couples being able to share a sub. By fitting the watch best at the most open clasp setting for the man and then moving it all the way closed to fit a wife or girlfriend. Think thats a pretty clever thing as i would probably do that with my girlfriend so she could wear my watch as well if i decide to wear something else.

As said, the middle is my preference as well. Allows the adjustment in both directions and I have used it in that manner.

Middle here as well to allow adjustments in either direction. The clasp sits a little more towards my thumb but is nice and comfortable.

But in general, I like have the lightest set up => fewest links => on the DSSD, a position further out on the Glidelock |

Would getting it fitted on the smallest setting make sense as you can always expand the bracelet as needed with glide lock?? I have a small wrist (6.5") and will be going in to get fitted and thats what I was told.

See I thought that too, get it super tight, especially if it's during a humid summer then just let out a few mm's on the glidelock then you should be good to go. Then when winter comes your wrist should be small enough for the glidelock to not need to be in use (at least if you live in cold climates during winter. |

I just had my AD resize my SubC today. Link placement can really effect the feel and comfort of the bracelet. I had them move my half link to the 6 o'clock side so now I have 5 links at 12 and 4.5 links at 6. It's much nicer that way.
My glidelock is set in the middle. But there really is no need to put it in the middle. When I tighten it all the way I can barely get the watch on. I would leave yourself two or three spots for tightening. You don't need all five. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like to center the folding arms under clasp. Where the clasp is is less relevant to my comfort.

On the sd4000 I just took the diver extension off an set glidelock all the way in. Fits perfect. I adjust larger when need be. 6.5" wrist
