eBay UK scammer
I purchased a rolex ladies datejust from this guy and all sounded perfect, the communication was sharp, prompt and almost instant! He insisted i pay by paypal, and i didnt see a problem as i am covered by their buyers protection policy, so i proceeded and paid him £2750 (which was a bargain price for this watch anyway, so i thought id take a go at it anyway).
1st sign that he was a scammer was when he sent me the tracking number and on royal mails track and trace service it told me it was posted by 1st class recorded - which has a max compensation value of £50 should the watch get lost in transit. I didnt understand why he didnt send by special delivery? I asked him why he posted using a sub-standard postal service and the communication was non-existent. I waited till i got the parcel and he sent me an empty bottle of mens Paul Smith fragrance. I opened a case against paypal immediately and we are now waiting for his response, which i am assuming will never happen. Hopefully i should get my money back. HOWEVER! The worst thing is he relisted the watch under a different username, with the same pictures and with the same item description! And ironic how he called me a time waster in his description, another funny thing is he says he is relisting it, but on his completed listings it doesnt show he ever listed the watch Some details of the scammer! Malik - Shahzaib Yousaf shahzaib-yousaf@hotmail.com 07512814525 - his work mobile apparently 07514377713 - his personal number... The listing i purchased from: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1218763986...xe=exe,ext=ext The relisted listing on a different account: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1118946673...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Ive reported the new listing and also called ebay about it, but the listing is still active! |

I wish you luck and hope your payment was not a person to person gift ( so as to avoid merchant fees to him.) if you did I believe there is no PayPal protection.

Sounds like you paid completely outside ebay..for a deal made on Ebay. Completely against Ebay policy and likely Ebay will not help you one bit. Paypal may help you...but really Ebay buyer protection is the gold standard here in internet buying. 100% awesome. From what I hear, paypal protection by itself is not as strong. Better hope you paid on a credit card via paypal. My guess is you will get your money back via paypal......but I am not so sure. I seem to recall if the seller does not have the funds still in their paypal......then you are out of luck. Yeah, and if a gift payment...you are out your money

Going outside Ebay could see you high and dry here I'm afraid.
