16610 vs 116610
I'm pretty new for Rolex. Is there a difference between 16610 and 116610 for Sub? Thanks.

Don't expect the 116610 to appear, if at does at all, until about 2010... Then it should be decked out in a block case and ceramic bezel with the maxi-dial..

We may see the 116610 at Basel next year, but right now there is no such animal. If you have a seller that is claiming to have a 116610, run away! FWIW, the 16610 has been in production for the past 20 years and has remained relatively unchanged. The currenty model's case now has no lug holes, the end links are SEL, the clasp has a nicer deployment and the dial, hands & bezel have luminova lume

as some of you know I sold my 6536-1 to a rolex executive a month or so ago.
well I asked him about the new sub and he told me (most of you know this already)that it is coming out in all gold this year,in two tone next year and about 9 months after that will be the stainless steel version.straight from the horses mouth. cheers, steve m. |
