The big question would you go with a Daytona-C for 12.4k or a 116618(9) or PM Daytona for 8k+. Im having the problem right now.

I want to sell my DJII and PAM 359 and i really like the daytona-c as an everyday SS watch but after buying my DD i kind of vowed to myself that i would never buy a non PM model rolex again. But of course the watch i vowed if they ever came out with a daytona on a ceramic bezel i would get that in a heart beat. So now im stuck in a hard place? Keep saving up or pull a trigger on the daytona-c.
What do you guys think?

6 of the first 9 photos on their Instagram are of Rolex/Tudor watches and they take a huge amount of advertising from the brand. They are actually as good as telling people to get in quick and buy! It's quite outrageous. I have long given up reading that blog but thanks for the heads up.

I'd love to try on the Daytona-C when it comes out, but if ADs play the same game that they've been playing with the current Daytona, I'll never see one because they're so "rare"

i can guarantee they will always be out of stock. Just wait till the trusted sellers on here start selling it. It may be a little more expensive but you'll be able to get them quicker.

Guarantee? Why not just put your name down on a list like the rest of us?

I put my name down for a BLNR in late 13 when apparently shipments had stopped- took about 4 weeks for a new BLNR to show and I got it a few weeks later in 14.

For rare models, if you don't order or place your name on the list, you can't expect to pick up OTS these high demand watches.

Same is true of other high end items. Rare to find a 991 gt3rs laying around at every dealer.

I would think just for the uniqueness and newness you would get the new Daytona C. I must be missing something but did they come out with a PM ceramic bezel one too? I mean besides the platinum one.

Australian AD's will take your name but not guarantee delivery of any Rolex stainless model. So when the BLNR came out, you could not order one. Same with Submariner or Daytona.

Does anyone remember the premium that the 116520 were selling for second hand and grey market in 06/07?

Tough call. Sounds like a PM with Ceramic bezel may be the way for you to go then, which covers both the PM note and the Ceramic note. Good luck with whichever route you choose!

You either save for the Daytona C or trade one of your pieces. I say if those are
the three in your collection and you really want the Daytona, I'd trade the PAM towards it.

Great the sooner the lists start rolling the sooner I surface from wherever I'm buried lol This release makes me realize how much of a ceramic fanboy I am. That said I'm not ashamed

I think our trusted sellers will be offering reasonable prices once these drop. I'm sure our trusted sellers also have wait lists they need to honor but most usually have a piece or two in the for sale section well before we ever see one in an AD window. I may have to wait a bit because I won't be paying over MSRP for any reference but I do believe the $12,400 is reasonable. I was thinking it would be closer to $15,000.

I'm guessing our sellers are going to offer the Daytona-C at MRSP. If you think about it, it isn't a bad deal given that you'll save on taxes and won't have to get on some AD's waitlist that is going to take years.

Not this year they won't. I sure hope I'm wrong but I don't see it for atleast 6 months after release.

They already have ceramic Daytonas and in PM. I don't see your problem.

Ehh, maybe I'm being optimistic lol. I hope they don't jack up the prices, but I can see people paying a premium so they don't have to wait.
