Explorer I Help/Question-36MM or 39MM
I recently purchased this from an online dealer. This is the 39MM Explorer I and not the 36MM version, correct? Just making sure. Thanks friends.

That's the rare 37.5mm version -- only 50 produced in history. Congratulations Davey you have hit the big time!
Sorry, just kidding. Enjoy your 39mm 214270! |

Thanks! I wish the 50 produced was true. It was fun while it lasted.

The 36mm has the Explorer wording right below "Oyster Perpetual" on the top half of the watch.

Yup, here's the 36mm vs 39mm side by side (36mm on the left).
Btw, congrats David. |

Looks great, congrats! A quick way for me to tell if it's 36mm or 39mm when looking at pictures (where you don't know the size of the wrist) is the location of "explorer". If it's on the lower half of the dial, it's 39mm from what I understand. Not sure if this is true....y'all correct me if I'm giving bad information...

Another quick way to tell is that the minute hand is short on the 39mm compared to 36mm. Although that will change in a few months with introduction of new 39mm explorer.
