strange model # on gmt 1670T
Today i bought a F serial number GMT from a friend who bought it at the local AD. It is a F serial number but the interesting thing to me is that the model that is engraved between the lugs is 16710T. What does the 'T" stand for? I have no way to open the case to check which movement it has in it but the GMT2 is the II writing. Any ideas? sorry for the bad photo!

When they changed to non-pierced lugs the cases were stamped with a T to let you know that it needed proper end-links and spring-bars that matched.
It is not part of the reference number - it's a stand alone case stamp.
