Solid End Link: 2 types?!
I'm noticing that there are 2 different types of Solid End Links available on the 78790A bracelet (the older model Exp I, Exp II and GMT's).
The kind I'm more familiar with is a SEL with a 1-piece design: Then I've noticed this other type (ie. "801") that seems to be 3 pieces welded together: STRANGE!!! Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Is one better than the other? Is one older than the other? |

Yes, Rolex has evolved with one piece SS end-pieces.
The earlier 3 piece ends used the same outters for both SS and TT ends and were either 801 or 901 ends. The later have the complete bracelet part number stamped.
