116613lb Ceramic Blue dial vs 116622 Blue dial
Ok, does anyone know the answer to this question. I have a 116613lb Ceramic sunburst blue dial. I am really liking the blue dial with red second hand yacht master 116622 and I dont know if two blue dials are too much? I would like to know if the blue dials on both of these watches are the same or are they different shades of blues or is the yacht masters blue not a sunburst dial? Own 2 blue dials or go with different yacht master dial? I like some color contrast. Not sure if a gray dial does it for me but I have not seen any yacht masters in person.

I've never seen them side by side but my impression was they are pretty much the same blue sunburst.

I have the 116622 YM and have been looking into adding a bluesy. They are not the same dial to me. The YM is a darker more navy dial. The bluesy is a little lighter and a little more glossy.

of a royal purplish blue sunburst and the Yachtmaster blue is a darker navy blue sunburst ... One is 2 tone and the other SS with blue dial... You could have both but the Yachtmaster dials from Basel 2016 the bronze is pretty killer ... Referring to the 2 tone bronze dial and bezel ... It's another 2 tone so not sure if that's the route you want to take ... |

I would go with a different YM to avoid having two almost identical Blue dials, the Rhodium YM is stunning, I have a Plat dial 16622, Rolex have now discontinued the Plat dial (including the 116622 Plat dial) which may make it more appealing to some, I've always thought they were very under-rated.

The Rhodium YM is a possibility and I do like the Platinum dial one also. I cant remember but do both of those have the blue second hand? Do both of those dials have the sunburst effect like my Bluesy? Anyone have any real world pictures of these watches?

I sold my blue 116622 in favor of the 116613lb. The blue is definitely not the same. The bluesy is brighter while the yacht master is more likely to look black in low light.

Man, I really love that blue Yachty! I am so confused, I dont know if its smart to have 2 blue dial watches. I like the blue dial with the red second hand the best. The rhodium and plat. are nice but something draws me to that blue ym.

The YM and Sub blue are similar but definitely not the same. I looked at these two side by side at an AD. The Sub blue is deeper and more royal blue. The YM in comparison is a slightly lighter shade closer to navy. I think Rolex did this to compliment the gold tones and red second hand respectively. In other words, the blue of the YM dial wouldn't look right in the TT Sub.

Definitely different. In a good way too. As is the DJ 2 which has two different blue dial options depending on whether you go Roman or Stick. I have had them all in front of me at an AD and really studied this.
I would get the YM as well as your Sub. I love blue dials and no one does them like Rolex!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think I need to go to a local AD and see if they have a blue dial and rhodium dial and then compare against my bluesy.

Just went to my AD this past weekend and tried on the blue yachtmaster. Beautiful, but a tab small to my taste.

Funny enough that's why I sold my Blue dial YM and went back to the Plat dial, the Blue just looked too small which is bizarre as they are the same size. If they made the Blue YM 42mm it would be the perfect Rolex for me.

Me personally, I like the bluesy better. The blue has a more vibrant, "fun" feel, while the YM has a darker, more subdued feel. But, most importantly, you've got to get out and see for yourself. |

And the Milgauss' dial is lighter than the TT Subc's so Rolex really has a range of blues to suit any taste. Don't know if it is the same as the Azzuro's but similar so that's another one.

I've had both kept the ym blue dial . Personally I think blue dial ym and Daytona white or black dial 116520 are a perfect pair
