Contemplating another purchase

After several days of convincing the wife to allow me to make another Rolex purchase, the guy I was supposed to meet and buy a Ref 16263 (white dial Roman w/ box and papers) cancelled. So now I'm thinking it just wasn't meant to be. As I'm typing this I'm looking at a 16570 (black dial, no B&P) and saying to myself I should just get this.

As I still have my wife's permission, which should I get or is a better value, assuming they're similarly priced? Help!

You should get the watch you want to own and wear and fits your budget.

Sounds like you are trying to find something to buy because you currently have the wife's permission. Be patient and find the watch you want, that is within your price range. Happy searching

This would be my 4th Rolex. I already have a 1675, 16600 (both which I would never get rid of), and 16013. I hardly ever wear the 16013. I prefer the sports model so I thought the 16263 would work as a more classy wear compared to the 16570.

Get what you want and can afford. The main thing is being able to trust the seller.

Sounds like the Explorer would fit your tastes better. Just my thoughts.

Take a few days to think it over and let you mind clear. Then get a 16570 Polar. I bought one today and it's magnificent. The Explorer II is an undervalued watch in my opinion.

Don't settle on another watch just because you have the wife's permission or you will likely be looking to flip it in e near future.

16263 has so much history. it is the lost sheep of the crowd when Rolex put in the DJ family. But there are not a lot of them in the wild...so it is a great watch and a awesome conversation piece

No rush. Wait for the watch that you really want. The wife already gave you permission so no turning back on the hunt. Enjoy your search.

dont rush a purchase just cause your wife gave you the go-ahead. Is she one to back out later on?

Either way get the watch you truly want. I think the 16570 is a great piece.

I agree with this ^^^^^^^^^unless the Mrs. is going to rescind her offer, wait and get the watch you really want. Otherwise you will keep chasing the dragon.
