So how long have you or had been waiting for the call from the AD? I was told early 2018, but we shall see.

Yep, I was at the 2013-2014 NFL Wild Card Playoff Game GB V SF. -22 (w windchill) degrees during the game time. I'm from North East area and drove through a blizzard in western PA to see the game. Pretty incredible, the beer you hold in your hand automatically turns to ice within 10 mins of holding it. I had 3 layers of clothing on. It was heart breaking to lose by that field goal.

I don't know it's just something about buying the watch from an AD and having my own name on the papers. Especially with a Patek, with a Rolex I couldn't care less who's name is on the warranty card.

Agreed. I want the watch from AD first and foremost for my own credentials on the ownership papers and secondly to buy it at retail.

I was told between 6 and 10 months, but that's because from the same AD I got a 5712 and 5167R, one in June and the other I paid in advance and I need to go get it in Switzerland, without this I probably would have gotten the 2-3 year quote...

Get one from a gray today. Why wait?

Waiting for pieces like 5711, 5712 any Aquanaut is kinda silly to me. Plenty available on the market.

Lapince it's been like a month since your 5167 has been at AD when are you picking it up?

Here's he deal about buying a 5711 from a grey even if the price is a little higher than retail. New from an AD in California inc sales tax is about 27K. That's what a new from a grey on TRF goes for so about the same.

I received mine in a little over 1 month from my AD. I got extremely lucky however. I originally ordered the white dial because I didn't want to wait for years for the blue. The AD got the blue and gave me a call and naturally I took it over the white.

Give your info to as many U.S. ADs that are willing to put your name down on 'the list', and I guarantee you'll have several calling you within 2-3 months with a blue 5711 in stock. That is, if it doesn't get discontinued!

This is exactly what I did around this time last year and had 5 become available within 3 months... and I only gave my info to a half dozen or so ADs. Avoid ADs in big cities though

Rollyp is correct and in my experience larger AD's get a couple usually around late October and November. It's been that way for a few years in California.

People forget this watch was $26,700 plus tax before the price decrease and the watch was still selling like mad. Like Martin and Paul said buy BNIB from a grey dealer.

Call all the ADs in the US, particularly in smaller markets. You can get one in a few month if you put the work in.

I put my name on the list at PP salon in Geneva 18 months ago. They said it would be about three years.

I'm very, very far from sure that I want it....but I know that one day I'll get a call and will then have about 48 hours to decide!

I didn't have to wait for my 5711 and 5167. Both purchase from AD, didn't get any discount though

bugs me that half the time the reason you can't get one at an AD is because of grey dealers.

Exactly--we need to see some great incoming pics which I know he will provide. We can all live vicariously through Lapince's 5167--this will be great.
I cannot wait for the pics from the Apls, Davo's, back at your house in Odessa--I'm SO excited.

Don't disappoint Lapince--we all are all here for you. Let us know what the schedule is for pick up any day.

Realize you have a very busy schedule, but when will you fly to Davos to retrieve??

Will be a prelude to the 'best incoming ever on TRF' you have mentioned for June 2017.

I'm very excited

Paid full in June and patiently waiting to receive it in early 2017. Hopefully my full payment don't get treated the same as $2k deposit like on Daytona C... My AD promised me that I will b the first one to receive the 5711 in their store!
