Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 166600 44mm

Hi,

I'm considering adding a new Deepsea to my collection. I currently have offers for $7700 and $8600 including shipping and insurance.

First one is without box / papers so I'm likely going for more expensive offer.

Do you think it's a good price range for that model?

On a side note - I'm adding this to my collections which currently contains Rolex Explorer II 216570 42mm and Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 44mm, but will likely dump the Omega afterwards.

Cheers :)

Without knowing age or condition, it's kinda hard to tell, really.

If all other variables are equal-both pieces in near mint condition and both sellers equally reputable-there is no way I'd pay $900 more for one with box and papers.

Maybe the one with box and papers is a $700 better watch and the box and paper are now only $200.
I'd always get the box and paper version over the watch alone. You never know what's around the corner and if you do get bored with it then it will be easier to move on.
Awesome watch and I'm very happy I bought mine.

Can you get 8600 offer down to 8000? Always worth a try.

Just do not know why they call them papers in most cases its just a out-dated warranty. And today boxes and the so called papers are far easier to fake than the actual watch.Myself would never pay extra especially $900 extra, that money saved would pay for a full RSC service. After service you will have service paper/card with all the watch details on, plus that will act like a full two year valid warranty.

Well, I believe it's worth to pay a bit more and have the full box and papers when I'm already paying such amount.

It kinda proves the watch isn't stolen and was properly bought.

Great addition! I would want card and paperwork with this modern piece. But, I think you can do better than $8600, especially for a mint V or G serial.

My advice would be to buy the watch that's in the best condition regardless of whether it has papers or box.
