Which one: Daytona or Royal Oak

I'm looking for a daily wearer and have it narrowed between these two watches. Which do you think?

Also, which one gets more attention? One that flies under the radar would be nice.

I would say the AP would be more under the radar over the Rolex.

Ap more under the radar. Daytona is the better looking watch

I love the AP, one of my favorite watches under $15k. I also think the Daytona is overrated, it's too small. If it were 42mm, maybe I'd say otherwise.

I'd go with the RO (in White dial).

I always considered the ap a finer watch than Rolex but if I were choosing between those two I'd probably get the Daytona. It speaks to me more.

AP wears much bigger and is more fragile. Also, the AP chrono is still not very under the radar due to the amazing finish on the bracelet, it has a life of it's own. That being said, the Daytona is such a perfect watch. Go Daytona.

In a vacuum, I'd probably choose the AP, as it's haute horology on another level. That being said, I wear my watches to do everything, so I'd probably go Daytona for durability's sake. If I babied my watches (or if I made so much money that it didn't matter,) I'd probably go AP.

Tough choice as I feel that both would be great for daily wearers but I think the AP is more under the radar.

Which looks best on your wrist? That is how I would decide. And factor in durability: do you need a watch that is durable, then go Rolex. If you baby your watches, and the AP fits, go AP.

Love APs but they scratch like crazy because of all the brushed surfaces and the steel hardness.

My 2 cents

For a daily, I'd probably pick the Daytona (as much as I love AP)

Tough call, I'd probably go with the Daytona here, altho the blue dial ROC or 15400 would win.

For a daily wearer, the Daytona. Not sure how "under the radar" either one of these beauties would be, but really, I could care less.

roc bracelet is definitely not under the radar

as soon as you move your wrist, in any kind of indoor light, you might as well be wearing diamonds

Most people won't notice your watch. And fewer will know what an AP is.
I'd choose the Daytona every time.

I just made this decision or non decision. After tired of being on so many Daytona lists since April, I decided to give my money to AP. Last week, I bought the white faced version of the chrono you showed.Royal Oak Chrono. Absolutely LOVE it. It's on another level of craftsmanship and wears with way more presence than the Daytona
