Nah, I don't think it would be redundant to have two virtually identical pieces.

You can afford it. Go for it. Not overkill. Different dial color complements different moods, dressing, occasion etc.

Probably, but I say go for it. Add a1.5 link to one and you've got a summer and winter nautilus.

You have a killer collection already just add the blue dial and keep the cash for the white dial to put towards something else

Plenty of people on this forum would tell you to get both when discussing the white vs black stainless Daytona.

I don't see a problem with both a blue and white 5711, one for blue shirt day and one for white shirt day.

If you don't want the white one please PM me, I'm looking for a white 5711

If you like both, then get both – if you decide later that one isn’t for you, you’ll either make a few bob or lose next to nothing on the re-sale.

Ok to Own 5711 White & Blue??

I don't think I would buy both since they are very much the same. If, however, I thought these were the two watches I loved the most then I would have to.

I would defo own both - the dials are very different and the 5711 to me is the most versatile PP

In fact I have a white dial 5711 waiting for me to collect at my AD

As someone who has both Explorer II 42 models, I'd still say not worth having both 5711s. They aren't different enough to warranty that amount of money out.

How many have two subs. You get my point. Personally I'd like Neil to chime in with his solution.

A little overkill. When the blue dial model comes in, the white face might sit idle more than average.

I have two subs as you say, but my rule is it's okay if one is in PM.

I wouldn't. If the blue is also up for discussion, a nice option would be to change that to a 15202 and get the white 5711...
