Nice watch but I still like the classic, to many LE from Omega.

With a new CK2998 just added to the collection I'll pass on this one. Truth be told I'm not a massive fan of the hesalite crystal but most of all there is no way in hell I'd pay retail on a speedy.
Will maybe get one when they come on the preowned market.

I turned down the ck, glad I did I prefer the 42mm size. I'm number 1427, looks like it sold out in a little more than 2 hours.

Good looking watch, but I'll just wear the one I have on Tuesdays and call it a day.

I reserved one, but I'm not sure what the reservation really means, when they don't even ask for a CC number or deposit and include language like this in the confirmation email: "We do not guarantee that the assigned or chosen limited edition number or any reserved watch will be available for sale."

I suppose it's not surprising that they're all reserved, since it doesn't cost anything to do so and I'm sure many people that reserved will end up not picking them up. What happens then? Also, will Omega try to prevent someone (i.e., grey dealer) from ordering multiples? I didn't notice any restrictions on how many one person can order. Lots of uncertainties it seems - I guess we will see what happens.

I reserved one. Can't wait to see it.

Would have been nice if it included a bracelet. I think it will look awesome on a bracelet.

Reserved as well - hard not to.

Any thoughts on how these will do on the secondary market?

I reserved one this morning, this is the best looking LE Speedmaster in a very long time, perhaps ever (much more so than the CK2998, the Snoopy, whatever). I'll wear it, not collect it. What is not to enjoy? Brushed case? Check. Reversed panda dial? Check? Applied logo? Check. Lume that works? Check?

I tend to agree there seem to be a bit too many LEs coming from omega (all with the same movement... ehem) but frankly I like this one very much.

Omega runs the risk of becoming the new Hublot, and the Speedmaster line becoming the new Big Bang. I mean, how many times can you beat a dead horse?

Looks great but I'll stick with my regular Speedy Professional (which is my latest acquisition). This limited version is a steep price for basically the same watch. It will be interesting to see if Omega or other brands start to use this direct online ordering process more often. Makes sense for them financially.

I live on the West Coast U.S. and this baby was soldout before I even got up. Seeing the fact that it was gone before I could get in the game and the panic over the Snoppy (don't like) and the CK I don't think the horse is anywhere near dead yet.

I think this is a great watch. This is an attempt to meet customer needs and desires. I love the fact that Omega makes a lot of different versions. Makes me an Omega fan.

I think it looks great. I feel they really nailed the details on this one. Such as:

- No fake lume! YES!!! Finally.
- No HUGE black stupid box!! Instead we get a leather roll, NICE!!
- Applied Omega Logo!
- Hesalite crystal!
- Different fonts used for subdials!
- Brushed case!

I think this all comes together to make a nice limited edition that isn't just a standard rehash, i think they changed a lot of the stuff that matters.

I reserved one but hope i get it!

I think it looks great. If and when I get another watch to add to the collection, it will probably be a Speedy of some kind...
