1972 Rolex Explorer 2 Orange Hand 1655 MK1 Dial, Straight Hand, Vivid Patina
Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer 2
1655 reference 3.1 mil serial number circa 1971 production Excellent vintage condition case with thick and even lugs and crown guards. Case has been previously polished. Serial and reference numbers are fully intact and clearly visible. No corrosion or pitting. Dial is fantastic original MK1 with very vivid yellow patina on plots and matching tritium hands. No chips, scratches, or drag marks. Hands are original and correct MK1 with straight seconds hand. Tritium. Original date disk with open 6's and 9's. Bezel is original MK2 Caseback is original, stamped 1655 and II.72 inside. There is still a Rolex caseback sticker on back. Bracelet is a Rolex 7836 folded link with 380 ends. Nice condition with 13 links total. There is no date code on clasp, which is correct for 73-75 bracelets. No box or papers. No documeted service history. The winds smoothly and runs within COSC currently. My price is $19,500 shipped within US. I ship via FedEx w/ ParcelPro insurance so international shipments are not an issue.
