Broken Jubilee Bracelet.

So if you search my posts you will see iv been trying to restore my two-tone jubilee bracelet. Had no luck with a few people and as much as Michael young is respected I couldn't come to post it to Hong Kong.

Well now one of the links is broke, haven't taken it to Rolex yet but I am going to claim on my insurance, has anybody with an old bracelet got a new one through Rolex? How much is it did to cost for a new bracelet?

Thanks in advance.

What kind of insurance do you have that covers a broken link? Is that commonly covered? I haven't had any experience with that.

A new steel bracelet is about 2 grand I believe. Gold and TT bracelets are often so costly that they outvalue the watch. Unless your insurance does cover it I would put it on a nice strap and put the money towards a new watch.

Check for a nice little clause in your policy - fair wear and tear.

Basically if something breaks because it has worn out over the years, it is not covered.

Regards
